This is a good presentation on each of the Sikh Gurus, the lives they led, their teachings, and their gifts to humanity. The author takes great care to present the writing of the Guru, when it is available, that show not only their message to humanity but represents the nature of their own personality. As he writes, "The Sikh Gurus embody the ideal of a spiritual life lived in the world, yet above the world - dealing successfully with the events of daily life, while maintaing the awareness of that one underlying Reality that is the source of all love."
I appreciate this book, in that it is complete and frank in presenting the information while allowing the author's respect and devotion to come through.
